OVERVIEW: Thomas Baltimore and his wife Hillary do not appear to have a foundation, but have supported University of Virginia and other select educational institutions with which they have a personal connection.
BACKGROUND: Thomas J. Baltimore Jr., received his B.S. from University of Virginia in 1985 and his MBA from the Colgate Darden School of Business, University of Virginia in 1991. Baltimore started his career in public accounting at Price Waterhouse. He served in senior-level positions at the Hilton Hotels Corporation, the Host Marriott Services Corporation and the Marriott Corporation. Baltimore went on to cofound RLJ Development, a hospitality investment firm, with Robert L. Johnson. He is currently chairman, president and CEO of Park Hotels & Resorts.

EDUCATION & YOUTH: The Baltimores have strongly supported University of Virginia, home to the Thomas J. and Hillary D. Baltimore Jefferson Scholar. Baltimore is a former trustee of the Darden School Foundation, and previously served as a Board member of the University's Jefferson Scholars Foundation. They’ve also supported the Landon School and Bullis School, both in Maryland.
LOOKING FORWARD: Only in his 50s, Baltimore is still very much engaged in business. But perhaps the family will deepen their giving in the coming years. The Mid-Atlantic region in particular should be watched carefully.
