PROFILE: Established in 1995, the Peter & Paula Fasseas Foundation is a private family foundation in Illinois. Peter and Paula Fasseas launched their business in 1978, leveraging their home to purchase North Community Bank. It was the first piece in what would grow to become the Metropolitan Bank Group in Illinois. Grantmaking areas of interest are animal welfare, health, education, cancer care, youth, arts and religion.

In other areas, grants have gone to the Looking Glass Theater Company, the Hellenic Foundation, Better Government Association and Wings Program, Inc., which operates homeless shelters.
