ISSUES:

GEORGE LOPEZ FOUNDATION: The mission of the George Lopez Foundation is to create positive, permanent change for underprivileged children, adults and military families confronting challenges in education and health, as well as increasing community awareness about kidney disease and organ donation.  The forces here are personal in part, as Lopez received a kidney transplant in 2005. Grantees have included Painted Turtle, San Fernando Elementary (Lopez’s school where the foundation runs annual Toy Drive), and Tiger Baseball Club. The foundation also runs the George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic, which helps send hundreds of children with kidney disease to camp for a week.

LOOKING FORWARD: Expect Lopez to remain laser-focused on his established interest areas.
