BACKGROUND: David S. Blitzer graduated from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined Blackstone back in 1991 and is currently a senior managing director and the global head of Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities group. Blitzer is also co-managing partner and co-chairman of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, which includes in its portfolio the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils.
Allison Blitzer serves on the Board of Directors for the Sixers Youth Foundation. Allison also graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.

The foundation’s ongoing mission is to strengthen communities by assisting young people in reaching their full potential. The foundation does not appear to have a formal website, but does have some web presence. Recent tax returns, meanwhile, do not reveal grants, making it hard to get a handle on the precise organizations supported.
Blitzer currently serves on the boards of DREAM, a youth development organizing servicing more than 2,200 inner city children; Riverdale Country School in the Bronx, where the couple are parents; the advisory board of the Mount Sinai Surgical Department, the board of overseers at the Wharton School and the Board of Trustees at the University of Pennsylvania. The couple have also supported places like DREAM Charter School, Prostate Cancer Foundation, and Taglit-Birthright Israel.
