Coastal Community Foundation: Grants for San Diego

PROFILE: The Coastal Community Foundation (CCF) is based in Encinitas, California, with assets managed by a local firm that has been in business since 1991. It seeks to “enhance the quality of life in the North Coastal San Diego County by directing philanthropic efforts toward community needs.”

This funder has several competitive grant programs, including the Solana Beach Fund, which provides $2,000 to $5,000 grants to Solana Beach programs. These grants support new activities, program expansions and improvements, and organizational efficiency improvements. CCF's Mental Health Fund, which provides $2,500 to $6,000 grants to groups that provide early intervention and prevention mental health services and mental health counseling for youth, also accepts applications.
