PROFILE: The Anthony A. Yoseloff Foundation was established in 2002 It was founded by financier Anthony "Tony" Yoseloff, his wife Nanar, and family. Anthony joined Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP in 1999 and is currently the Co-Executive Managing Member. Yoseloff’s family has been in the publishing business for 80 years, including as owners of publishers Rosemont Publishing & Printing Co., Associated University Presses and A.S. Barnes & Co. The foundation does not maintain a website, which makes it difficult to locate further information on its priority areas and grantmaking strategies. According to tax filings, the Anthony A. Yoseloff Foundation primarily funds grantmaking related to education and youth. It also earmarks funds for arts institutions.

Yoseloff is a director of DonorsChoose.org, a trustee of New York Public Library, and he is on the board of LEDA (Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America), which helps high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds gain admission to selective colleges and supports their collegiate careers. The couple particularly focus in on supporting libraries and reading in the public schools through DonorsChoose. They've also supported financial literacy efforts. Princeton, Anthony's alma mater, is home to Yoseloff Hall. The couple have also supported Nanar's alma mater Bryn Mawr College, home to the Nanar and Anthony Yoseloff Endowed Scholarship Fund. 

Grants range from $10,000 to $100,000. In a recent fiscal year, the foundation gave away around $570,000. Past grantees have included LEDA (Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America), Chapin School (the couple are parents), Columbia University (Anthony graduated from the school), American Museum of Natural History, Central Park Conservancy, and Friends of the High Line. 

The Anthony A. Yoseloff Foundation keeps a low-profile and does not accept unsolicited proposals.
