PROFILE: The Alice M. And Thomas J. Tisch Foundation was established in 1992. It was founded by investor Thomas Tisch and his wife Alice. Thomas Tisch serves as the managing partner of Four Partners, an investment firm in New York City.  The foundation does not maintain a website, which restricts further information on its priority areas and grantmaking strategies. Tax filings suggest that the Alice M. And Thomas J. Tisch Foundation primarily funds grantmaking related to education, youth, the arts, health, and Jewish causes.

Thomas Tisch has been on the board of Brown University since 2002 and was the 20th chancellor of Brown. Though the couple don't have any naming gifts, they are amongst Brown's largest benefactors.  Alice Tisch, meanwhile, was president of the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services, which the family supports.

Grants range from $250 to $990,000. In a recent fiscal year, the foundation gave away around $2.9 million. Past grantees have included New York University (Tisch has been on the board), Barnard College, MoMA (Alice is on the board), The Met, Jewish Museum, and NYU Langone Health, where the couple are trustees and where Alice leads their pediatrics initiative, KiDS of NYU.
